An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy, hardworking and friendly Awards and Assessment team, within the Academic Registry. The team play an important role in ensuring the effective organisation and delivery of assessment processes across the University.
You will be responsible for delivering high standards of assessment operations to all stakeholders, ensuring that the student journey is supported at all stages. Working closely with the Assessment and Awards Manager, you will assist with providing administrative support for Examination Boards, chasing, entering and checking all assessment marks, updating the student records system (SITS) and informing students of results by strict deadlines. You will also assist with the collection of assessment information, examination papers and coursework briefs, reviewing submission deadline schedules and setting up coursework submission links on our VLE (Blackboard). The role also involves providing confidential administrative support for the Exceptional Circumstances process, including providing advice to students.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, stays calm under pressure, and takes pride in delivering accurate work. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks independently while meeting tight deadlines are a must. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is discretion when handling confidential information.
