Assistant Lecturer in Adult Nursing Dept (Statutory and Mandatory Education)

We are seeking a Full Time, Registered Professional as we are now offering an exciting opportunity to join our innovative Statutory and Mandatory Education team.
The Role
You will contribute to and lead sessions that coordinate, enhance, and critically analyse the relationships between fundamental subjects such as Patient Handling, Basic Life Support and how these inform practical, ethical, and specialist aspects of healthcare education in the context of frontline, patient care and/or interventions that shape person-led experiences.
The specific programme content contributes to Statutory and Mandatory education as mapped to the professional standards outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC).
Key Responsibilities
Practice Coordination: Liaise with senior provision coordinators and academic staff to ensure teaching provision is covered and this is balanced with other teaching, marking and core business responsibilities that form the general role of an academic. Student Support: Act as a lead facilitator for a range of Statutory and Mandatory or skills-based sessions,Personal Academic Tutor: Provide pastoral support and signpost to welfare services within BCU to enable learners to optimise their academic performance and practical application of knowledge.Quality Assurance: Collaborate with multiple schools and professions to deliver contemporary, evidence-based content which supports practice learning exposures as well as compliance with legal statutes, frameworks and governing body expectations. Wider Teaching: Opportunity to contribute to core curriculum delivery alongside Statutory and Mandatory education, such as clinical skills, academic assessing, with a willingness to participate in personal, professional development.Essential Criteria
Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Healthcare and Professions Council (HCPC) registration.Educated to Degree level in a clinically relevant subject area.Desirable Criteria
Hold a current teaching, assessing, and / or education qualification valid within the UK (e.g., NMC Teacher Status or HEA Fellow status).Experience of delivering teaching in healthcare or other Higher Educational Institutes.Relevant Master's or PhD.Previous Higher Education teaching experience.Experience of supporting nursing students / apprentices in practice.Location & Benefits
