Is This Role Right For You? Key Considerations for Candidates

This challenging role demands a highly skilled and dedicated professional. Candidates should carefully review the following key requirements to assess if this opportunity aligns with their career path and expertise:

  • EASA Part 66 License (B2 and/or C): This is a fundamental and non-negotiable requirement, coupled with up-to-date basic knowledge of Appendix I to Part-66. Your license is the cornerstone of your eligibility.
  • Regulatory Expertise: A solid understanding of Part-M, Part-145, and any other relevant aviation regulations is crucial for ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence in your daily tasks.
  • Proven Maintenance Experience: Applicants must demonstrate at least 6 months of actual relevant aircraft or component maintenance experience within any consecutive 2-year period. Specific experience on business jet aircraft is highly preferred, indicating a direct fit for the centre's operations, though experience with other Business Aircraft makes will be considered.
  • Recent Aircraft Type Experience: You should have worked on at least one aircraft type for each license (sub)category within the last two years, ensuring your skills are current and applicable to the sophisticated aircraft maintained at the facility.
  • Safety & Human Factors Knowledge: A strong understanding and practice of human factors, human performance and limitations, EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System), and CDCCL (Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations) (when relevant) are essential for maintaining the highest safety standards in a complex aviation environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: The ability to interpret engineering drawings, use standard and special tools, and operate ground support equipment is paramount for executing maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Effective Communication & IT Skills: Clear written and verbal communication regarding individual tasks and aircraft status, alongside proficiency in information systems (computer skills), are vital for team collaboration, accurate documentation, and operational efficiency.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Candidates must be current on all training requirements (recurrent/continuation training), reflecting a commitment to ongoing learning and adaptation in a rapidly evolving industry.
