What You'll Experience:

This role is designed for individuals who want their coding expertise to be a central pillar of their daily work. You can expect a diverse and engaging workload, including:

• Collaborating with clients and internal teams to define business requirements and then architecting and implementing robust capital modelling solutions for the (re)insurance market.
• Contributing to a multi-disciplinary team focused on the design, implementation, and rigorous testing of capital modelling solutions.
• Acting as a technical leader, working closely with clients to gather detailed specifications for bespoke model constructions and overseeing their development.
• Providing essential support and training to users of our sophisticated systems.
• Supporting the sales cycle through the development of compelling proof-of-concept exercises and product trials for Aon's proprietary platforms, Tyche and TCM.

Key Strengths for Success:

To excel in this role, candidates will ideally possess:

• Actuarial Expertise: Proven experience in general insurance actuarial work (capital modelling, pricing, or reserving), with a minimum of three years in the field.
• Technical and Analytical Capability: Strong coding skills, with a preference for Python and SQL, coupled with the ability to develop resilient modelling solutions. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Drive for Improvement and Innovation: A demonstrated curiosity and proactive approach to leveraging software to solve modelling challenges, with a track record of enhancing processes within teams or projects.
• Collaborative and Resilient Attitude: The ability to perform effectively under pressure, demonstrating adaptability and resilience. You should be a self-motivated team player who excels at building positive relationships across diverse groups.
• Advanced Modelling and Leadership (Desirable): Familiarity with stochastic modelling tools (e.g., Igloo or Tyche), a solid understanding of statistical techniques, experience in predictive analytics, and the potential to lead development projects or teams would be highly advantageous.
