The role

As a Change Manager, you’ll shape, govern, and accelerate project change across programmes that matter for national defence. You’ll sit within the Project Management Office, leading a small team of senior change specialists and change specialists, and partnering daily with project managers, engineers, and the customer. It’s a role where your leadership will make complex work safer, smarter, and faster—while growing your capability in a mission‑critical environment

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

Lead and coach a multi‑disciplinary change team to manage a high volume of project change across Clyde programmes. Own change control governance—from initiation to impact assessment, approval, and implementation—ensuring scope, schedule, and cost are protected. Partner with project managers, engineers, and customer stakeholders to align baselines and keep decisions timely and transparent. Maintain and improve dashboards and data to track trends, risks, and performance; report actionable insights to senior leaders. Continuously improve methods, standards, and ways of working across the PMO to embed best practice and measurable outcomes.

You’ll be working full-time, Monday–Thursday, 36 hours per week. This is a hybrid role with a mixture of working from home and working on site at our Faslane site.

Essential experience of the Change Manager:

Proven experience leading and managing large teams in a complex, fast‑paced project environment. Demonstrable track record managing high volumes of change with robust governance and control. Expertise in change management or project change control, including impact analysis and approvals. Advanced capability managing data and dashboards to support decision‑making and performance reporting. Strong stakeholder management across joint project teams and customer interfaces.

Qualifications for the Infrastructure Change Manager:

APM Project Fundamentals Qualification. APM Project Planning & Controls – Practitioner.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
