Course Director - Counselling and CBT

Situated within the School of Health, Education, Policing & Sciences at University of Staffordshire, the Psychology Department offers a diverse portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and apprenticeship programmes. We have a vacancy for a Course Director for our Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) provision, to lead, develop, and enhance our counselling and CBT programmes.

As Course Director, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, coordination, and continuous improvement of our counselling and CBT courses. You will ensure that our programmes remain evidence-based, contemporary, and aligned with professional and accreditation standards. Working closely with academic colleagues, professional bodies, and industry stakeholders, you will shape the curriculum to meet employer needs and provide high-quality education and training that supports student success and positive graduate outcomes. 

In addition to developing and delivering engaging teaching and learning, you will contribute to the School’s research and enterprise goals and have opportunities to develop your own academic profile. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with research experience in psychology or health related topics, who can contribute to the University’s research agenda.
