Job at Heineken UK in Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE11

Career Opportunity: Customer Development Manager – North of Scotland with HEINEKEN UK

Are you a commercially minded individual with a passion for building relationships and driving growth in the dynamic on-trade sector? HEINEKEN UK is seeking a dedicated Customer Development Manager (CDM) to join their field sales team, covering the vibrant North of Scotland region. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of iconic beer and cider brands, working directly with a diverse range of customers.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing a focused period to make a significant impact. While the role is field-based and offers flexibility in your exact location within the North of Scotland, a commitment of at least three days per month will be required for face-to-face engagement with customers.

Advantages for Aspiring Candidates:

  • Brand Powerhouse: Be part of HEINEKEN UK, a company renowned for brewing some of the nation's most beloved beers and ciders. This offers the prestige of working with well-known and respected brands.
  • Customer-Centric Growth: This role is all about fostering strong relationships and driving mutual value. You'll work closely with pub landlords, bar owners, and other on-trade partners to understand their needs and help them thrive.
  • Strategic Impact: You will be instrumental in developing and executing strategic plans to enhance brand visibility and commercial performance. This includes ensuring products are optimally placed and aligned with major marketing activations across popular sporting and entertainment events.
  • Diverse Customer Base: From community pubs to trendy bars, you'll engage with a wide spectrum of on-trade outlets, offering a rich and varied experience.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Beyond a competitive base salary of £35,000 - £43,000 (dependent on experience), HEINEKEN UK offers a full suite of benefits, including a company car, annual bonus, private medical healthcare, a double-matched pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, and even a monthly allocation of HEINEKEN's delicious products.
  • Professional Development: HEINEKEN UK is committed to nurturing talent. This role provides development pathways and learning opportunities, helping you to advance your career within the company and the wider industry.
  • Inclusive Environment: You'll have the chance to engage with employee networks and inclusion groups, contributing to a diverse and supportive workplace culture.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

  • Field-Based Autonomy: This role requires self-motivation and the ability to manage your own time effectively while covering a geographical area.
  • Customer Engagement: Success hinges on your ability to build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with a variety of customers. A genuine passion for people and a collaborative spirit are essential.
  • Commercial Acumen: You'll need to be comfortable with numbers, pricing strategies, and understanding customer Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to support their business growth effectively.
  • Adaptability: The on-trade sector is fast-paced and can be subject to change. Thriving in such an environment and being open to new ideas will be key to your success.
  • Driving Essential: A full UK driving licence is a mandatory requirement for this role due to the field-based nature of the position.
  • Fixed-Term Contract: While this is a 12-month contract, it represents an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and showcase your skills within a leading beverage company.

HEINEKEN UK values potential and is committed to developing individuals. If you are excited by this opportunity and believe you have the drive and passion to succeed, even if you don't meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply.
