In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in strengthening Barclays' governance framework, meticulously overseeing risk management processes, and ensuring the effective oversight, escalation, and resolution of economic crime-related issues. A key aspect of this position involves developing and presenting insightful reports on key metrics and control performance. You will be expected to identify trends, highlight emerging risks, and provide a clear assessment of the overall effectiveness of the control environment. Furthermore, you will establish and lead regular issue management oversight meetings, playing a pivotal role in evaluating, managing, and escalating risk events as necessary. This includes a thorough assessment of the materiality and business impact of issues to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the risk profile.
