The Innovation Lead – Employee Experience (Global) is responsible for developing new insights and applications across Aon’s EX platform. They focus on global growth and margin improvement through validation and commercialisation. This role partners closely with colleagues around the world to bring diverse perspectives into our innovation agenda and deliver impact for clients in all regions.

What the day will look like
Lead the identification and development of new use cases for existing EX products, services and solutions across all regions to increase global adoption, cross‑sell and utilisation.Originate and shape new, globally scalable EX ideas and propositions, informed by cross‑regional client, market, competitor and data‑led insight.Lead a three‑year rolling global revenue and profitability target, ensuring innovation activity is tightly linked to commercial outcomes and client value.Act as a visible, inclusive and inspiring global leader and spokesperson for Aon’s EX innovation agenda, both externally and internally, representing a wide range of colleague and client perspectives.

Key Accountabilities
Global Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Management
Translate the global EX strategy into a prioritised global innovation roadmap focused on growth, margin expansion and client impact.Maintain a three‑year rolling global innovation pipeline (new use cases and new propositions), aligned to global financial targets and regional growth priorities.Define global and regional success metrics (e.g. revenue, margin, adoption, NPS, time‑to‑market) and track performance.Balance short‑term, region‑ready enhancements with longer‑term, globally innovative ideas, ensuring representation of different regions, sectors and client needs.
New Use Cases for Existing Capabilities (Global Scale)
Build a deep, global understanding of the EX product and solutions portfolio (platforms, analytics, advisory, content) and how it is deployed in each region.Identify additional client problems, segments and geographies that can be addressed using existing functionality, ensuring solutions are accessible and relevant across diverse contexts.Develop globally consistent but locally adaptable use cases (solution blueprints, standard materials, pricing guidance, positioning) that regional Commercial and Client Management teams can take to market.Work with global and regional Operations and Technology teams to ensure delivery feasibility, localisation, scalability and quality.Partner with Sales and Client Management across regions to pilot and refine new use cases, gathering findings and sharing them for global reuse.
New Idea Generation & Concept Development (Cross‑Region)
Lead structured, cross‑regional ideation (global design‑thinking sessions, innovation councils, client advisory boards), creating inclusive forums that draw on diverse client and colleague perspectives.Screen and prioritise ideas using global commercial, client, regulatory, operational and technical criteria, while considering regional and cultural variations.Develop and test proposition concepts and prototypes in multiple markets to validate global desirability, feasibility and viability.Ensure ideas are differentiated globally, aligned to Aon’s brand and leverage Aon’s broader global capabilities.
Case Creation & Global Commercialisation
Build robust global reasons for priority ideas and use cases, including:Global and regional market sizing and opportunity assessmentThree‑year global revenue and margin projectionsGlobal pricing and packaging frameworks with regional flexibilityInvestment, resourcing and technology implications across regionsRisk, regulatory and localisation considerationsPresent cases to the EX Executive Leadership Team and relevant global governance forums, securing funding and approval.Partner with Product, Technology, Operations, Marketing and Commercial teams to build and implement global go‑to‑market plans, supporting regional activation and adoption.Supervise post‑launch performance across regions, adjusting based on data‑led insights and regional feedback.
Global Market, Client & Competitor Insight
Establish systematic, global mechanisms to capture and synthesise:Client and prospect feedback from all regionsMarket and competitor intelligence across key geographiesVoice‑of‑client and usage data from EX solutions globallyTranslate insight into clear, globally relevant opportunity statements and requirements that inform the innovation backlog.Act as a central global point of truth for EX innovation‑related market intelligence, sharing insights regularly with regional leaders and ensuring broad accessibility.
Thought Leadership, Conferences & Marketing (Global)
Represent Aon at industry conferences, webinars and client events, presenting on EX innovation, trends and Aon solutions, and ensuring inclusive representation of different markets and perspectives.Act as a global voice in Aon’s marketing strategy by:Co‑creating globally relevant thought leadership (articles, white papers, blogs, podcasts, videos)Providing content, case studies and market stories for campaignsSupporting PR and media opportunities related to EX innovationEquip Commercial and Client Management teams globally with compelling, accessible narratives, decks and tools to position innovation with clients.
Cross‑Functional & Cross‑Regional Leadership
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with leaders in Product, Technology, Operations, Commercial and Client Management.Lead or participate in global cross‑functional squads for major innovation initiatives, ensuring regional representation and input from colleagues with varied backgrounds and experiences.Coach colleagues worldwide in innovation perspectives and ways of working (test‑and‑learn, experimentation, rapid feedback), creating a psychologically safe environment for ideas and experimentation.Role‑model a global, client‑centric and data‑driven approach, ensuring that innovation delivers consistent value across markets.

Achievement of three‑year rolling global revenue and margin targets attributable to innovation initiatives.Growth in global adoption and utilisation of existing EX capabilities through new use cases, including regional uptake.Number, scale and impact of new global propositions launched and successfully embedded in priority markets.Improvements in client outcomes and satisfaction globally (e.g. NPS, retention and expansion, solution penetration).Quality, approval rate and execution of global cases.Recognition as a global market voice (speaking engagements, publications, media mentions) and positive feedback from regional leaders.Positive customer feedback from EX leadership, regional leadership, Product, Technology, Operations and Commercial teams on collaboration, inclusivity and impact.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Essential Experience
Significant experience in Employee Experience, HR, Human Capital or adjacent domains in a multinational or global context.Consistent track record of innovating and commercialising B2B solutions globally or across multiple regions (products, services, SaaS, data/analytics).Demonstrated experience building cases with revenue and margin accountability and securing senior approval.Experience operating within a sophisticated, matrixed global organisation, working across time zones, cultures and different ways of working.Experience in client‑facing, advisory or commercial roles with exposure to senior partners across different markets.

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area such as Business, HR, Psychology, Economics, Data/Analytics, or a related field.Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA, MSc, professional HR qualifications) and international experience are an advantage but not crucial.
