What You'll Be Doing: The Heart of Our Service Excellence

As a Field Service Engineer, you are the vital link between our cutting-edge technology and our valued customers. Your responsibilities are hands-on and critical to ensuring our clients can push the boundaries of discovery. You will be instrumental in:

  • Installation & Commissioning: You'll be the expert, setting up and bringing essential lab water purification systems to life at client sites, ensuring they perform optimally from the outset.
  • Maintenance & Servicing: Proactive care is key. You'll conduct regular maintenance to guarantee system reliability and prevent any operational disruptions for our customers.
  • Repairs: When issues arise, your diagnostic and repair skills will be crucial in swiftly resolving them, minimizing impact and maintaining customer confidence.
  • Validation: Ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards and client specifications through precise validation and calibration of equipment.
  • Customer Support & Training: You'll empower our customers by providing exceptional support and training, enabling them to maximize the potential of our systems.
  • Dynamic Travel: This role offers a stimulating mix of challenges and new experiences with travel predominantly across the South of the UK, keeping your work engaging and diverse.

Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for curious and capable individuals who can envision the unimaginable. While prior field service experience is a plus, it's not a prerequisite, as comprehensive training and onboarding are provided. Key attributes we value include:

  • Educational Foundation: A minimum of an HNC or equivalent qualification in an Engineering or Scientific discipline.
  • Technical Acumen: A strong technical background, ideally with experience in field service, particularly with laboratory equipment. Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years' experience working within a laboratory environment would be highly beneficial.
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: The ability to skillfully diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Adaptability: A flexible approach to travel and the ability to thrive in various work settings.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A team player who can also work effectively and independently.
  • Commercial Awareness: An aptitude for identifying opportunities to generate leads for new hardware, consumables, accessories, and service contracts through our CRM tool.
