WHAT TO EXPECT

Based at Whitley within the Prototype Toolroom, the successful person would be expected to provide machining solutions to primarily support low volume prototype vehicle builds. The role is to set and operate manual and semi-automatic milling machines, to manufacture vehicle components and low volume press tools in a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Key Accountabitilities and Respoinsbilities

Self-inspect and control quality of work manufactured Willing to support others and capable of working on own to provide solutions to a variety of machining applications Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Indentured apprenticeship in engineering or NVQ level 3 in relevant field Experience of setting and operating manual and semi-automatic milling machines Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Experience of cutting a variety of materials, ferrous and non-ferrous Understand basic measurement principles
