As Government Affairs Lead, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the healthcare policy environment and strengthening Bupa voice in the UK. You’ll help us influence decision-makers, champion the issues that matter most to our customers, and protect the conditions that allow us to deliver world-class health and care services. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, government departments, regulators, and industry bodies. Represent Bupa in meetings with ministers, trade bodies, and external forums, both in person and virtually. Support the delivery of proactive government affairs campaigns that influence healthcare strategy and enhance Bupa reputation. Provide insight-led advice on political developments and their impact on our business. Collaborate across Bupa insurance, care, dental, and health services to manage reputational risks and opportunities. Take part in the Duty Press Officer rota for out-of-hours calls. What We’re Looking For Experience in government affairs or corporate affairs. Strong understanding of the UK political landscape and healthcare system. Excellent communication skills – able to write and present clearly under pressure. Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver complex projects to tight deadlines. Analytical thinker with creative problem-solving skills. A collaborative team player who builds trust and respect across stakeholders.
