If you're seeking a role that places you at the nexus of human capital and organizational success within a dynamic, international environment, this HR Business Partner position is an exceptional opportunity.

The Role: Driving HR Excellence Across the Employee Lifecycle

As an intermediate-level HR Business Partner, you will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive HR support and cultivating capabilities that enhance organizational performance. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about optimizing processes, driving efficiency, and making a tangible impact on both individual employees and management teams. You will be a key player in:

  • Delivering HR Services: Provide essential HR support and develop programs that empower individuals and managers, ultimately boosting organizational performance.
  • Managing the Employee Lifecycle: Oversee and implement HR initiatives across all stages of the employee journey.
  • Employee Relations Expertise: Collaborate closely with business managers to effectively resolve Employee Relations (ER) issues, conduct thorough risk assessments, and ensure appropriate actions are taken in line with company policies and legal frameworks.
  • Strategic HR Collaboration: Partner with Human Resource Advisors (HRAs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to align HR priorities with client group needs, ensuring seamless delivery and implementation of HR solutions.
  • Issue Resolution: Address escalated client and employee concerns with urgency, maintaining consistent interpretation and application of employment policies and practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including HRAs, managers, employees, ER specialists, and Legal departments, fostering trust and accountability.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve moderately complex HR issues, consulting with management as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Growth and Development: Take on progressively more complex employee populations and actively participate in cross-Citi projects, expanding your expertise and influence.
  • Autonomy and Expertise: Operate with a significant degree of independence and judgment, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Risk Management: Demonstrate a keen awareness of risk, making sound business decisions that uphold the firm's reputation and safeguard Citi, its clients, and its assets by adhering to policies, laws, and ethical standards.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

  • Global Exposure: This role offers invaluable experience within a leading global financial institution, providing a broad perspective on international HR practices.
  • Skill Development: You will hone your skills in employee relations, policy interpretation, stakeholder management, and strategic HR support, enhancing your overall HR acumen.
  • Career Advancement: As an intermediate-level position, this is an excellent stepping stone for those looking to progress into more senior HR leadership roles. The opportunity to participate in cross-Citi projects further broadens your exposure and potential for growth.
  • Impact and Influence: You will have the opportunity to directly impact organizational performance and employee experience, making this a highly rewarding role for those who thrive on making a difference.
  • Structured Support: While autonomy is encouraged, you will also benefit from collaboration with HRAs and COEs, ensuring you have the support and resources needed to succeed.

What Citi is Looking For:

  • Proven relevant HR experience.
  • A solid understanding of applicable UK Employment laws; knowledge of US Employment laws is a distinct advantage.
