Do you have an interest in Research Software Engineering (RSE) and want to gain hands-on experience in a research environment? Are you a penultimate or final-year undergraduate student looking to develop key technical and problem-solving skills?
The N8CIR Summer Internship Programme offers a unique opportunity to work on research projects within the fields of Digital Health, Digital Humanities, and Machine Learning. We are looking for two interns, each bringing a different perspective:
A candidate with a software engineering background who wants to learn how to apply computational methods in research.A candidate without a computational background who wants to develop RSE techniques to support research.You will work closely with experienced academics and the Research Computing team at the University of Leeds, developing software, data analysis workflows, and research computing solutions. The internship will provide practical experience, networking opportunities, and insight into career pathways in Research Software Engineering.
