The Opportunity:

This pivotal role is designed to empower managers across the entire organization, enhancing their leadership capabilities and ultimately driving the delivery of exceptional care. You will play a crucial part in developing the next generation of leaders within the care sector.

Key Responsibilities & Candidate Advantages:

  • Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with the Head of L&D to directly influence and execute the People Plan. This offers a fantastic opportunity to see your strategic input translate into actionable initiatives.

  • Balanced Role: The role offers a well-rounded experience, with approximately 50% dedicated to delivery, 25% to design and communication, and 25% to administrative tasks. This blend ensures a dynamic and engaging workload.

  • National Impact & Travel: A willingness to travel across the UK is essential, presenting an excellent chance to engage with diverse teams and contribute to a nationwide impact. This is a significant advantage for those who enjoy variety and broad exposure.

  • Proactive Strategy Development: Drive the creation of leadership development strategies using advanced business scanning, research, data analysis, and feedback mechanisms. You will have the autonomy to identify needs, propose solutions, and demonstrate the return on investment (ROI) of your initiatives.

  • Executive Engagement: Work directly with C-suite leaders to deeply understand business needs and align development programs accordingly. This provides invaluable exposure to senior-level decision-making.

  • Talent Management Integration: Partner with HR Operations to glean insights from the Talent process and performance review data, ensuring development programs are targeted and effective.

  • Continuous Learning & Application: Attend external leadership events and training, then strategically integrate these learnings into Care UK’s existing programs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Budget Management: Take ownership of the leadership budget, developing financial acumen and strategic resource allocation skills.

  • Hands-on Delivery: Directly deliver training and development programs at all levels, honing your facilitation and coaching expertise.

  • Program Evolution: Conduct regular surveys, gather feedback, and iteratively redesign offerings to ensure maximum relevance and impact.

  • Maximizing Engagement: Employ excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure maximum attendance and engagement in all programs and eLearning modules.

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging content for the eLearning system, including videos, blogs, webinars, and interactive modules, showcasing your creativity and digital learning proficiency.

  • Supplier Management: Source and collaborate with external suppliers, continuously seeking opportunities for enhancement and value.

  • Leadership Advocacy: Act as a proactive ambassador for leadership development, driving strategy, implementation, and ensuring leadership remains a top organizational priority.
