• Core Responsibilities: The role involves hands-on work with overhead lines, including construction, maintenance, repairs, and the restoration of electrical supplies. This will encompass tasks such as cable laying, excavation, reinstatement, and working with various associated plant and equipment.
• Live Line Expertise: A significant aspect of this position involves carrying out live line work on overhead lines up to and including 33KV, requiring adherence to stringent safety protocols.
• Essential Qualifications & Skills: Candidates will need to be LV & HV Authorised, possess a City & Guilds 2339 certificate or equivalent, and demonstrate previous experience in overhead line construction and maintenance. Crucially, you must be comfortable completing self-risk assessments, possess strong teamwork abilities, and be eager to learn and adapt to new skills and technologies. Organisational awareness and flexibility are also paramount.
