ABOUT THE ROLE . Being a Mechanical Handling Tutor you will train, instruct and test MHE Instructors to be competent and qualified to train Warehouse Partners, including agency and other nominated individuals, to become competent users of all Mechanical Handling Equipment. You will be the first face Partners will see when they join the Partnership and need to confidently explain the Partnership Experience. Be able to confidently demonstrate, encourage and instruct Partners along with listening and communicate effectively To adhere to all Legal, Health and Safety and Operational procedures, conforming to the requirements of the Health and Safety Commissions approved Code of Practise and Guidance, and conduct themselves according to the Partnership principles. Location: Aylesford Hours: Mon - Fri, Flexibility will be required to support a business need Pay: £37,500 Contract Type: Permanent What you will be responsible for: Train, instruct, test and re-test MHE Instructors to be qualified and competent to train Partners and Agency on Mechanical Handling Equipment - conforming to the requirements of all Health and Safety Guidance Train, instruct, test and re-test Partners and Agency on Mechanical Handling Equipment - conforming to the req Carry out comprehensive inductions for Partners and Agency Effectively communicate any Partner and/or operational issues to Management in a timely manner To ensure all communication is clear and precise and Partners fully understand all instructions To work within other areas / departments within the RDC as requested by Management To carry out normal Warehouse operational tasks as and when required, working to the agreed productivity targets within the Health and Safety guidelines To implement a training standard that reflects the ethos of the Partnership ensuring consistency across all RDC. Essential Skills: ITSSAR Category 1 MHE Instructor and current MGHE Operators Licence (or similar) Training others in Mechanical Handling equipment usage Desirable Skills: ITSSAR Category 4 Accredited Tutor (or desire to work towards) Experience in working in a Distribution environment Training others in Mechanical Handling equipment usage An understanding of the Health & Safety at Work Act .
