Student Wellbeing is part of Student Support Services at the University of Sunderland.  We are a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, working together to provide an outstanding personalised and often transformative service.  We have a broad remit which is both preventative and responsive, offering support across a wide range of wellbeing needs.    

About the role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mental Wellbeing Adviser to join our 'highly recommended' Wellbeing Team voted number 1 for Student Support in the country (Daily Mail accolade).

What you can bring 

We are looking for a proactive and motivated team player who is committed to supporting students and making a long-lasting difference.  We work hard but look after each other by fostering a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will be able to manage a large caseload of students with more complex and / or longer-term mental health difficulties. You will be skilled at managing difficult situations and able to calmly respond to challenging situations.   You must have a professional Mental Health qualification and possess relevant, extensive experience preferably of working in FE or HE.
