Job Title: Mirai Data Migration Lead Location: Kingston Work-Level: 3X We need to simplify the Unilever technology landscape by reducing the number of applications. The separation of Ice Cream will remove a layer complexity within the organisation, whilst segmenting our markets will enable standardisation of Business Processes and eliminate further complexity. Furthermore, the end-of-life imperative to upgrade our ERP solution presents the opportunity for a fundamental technology transformation at Unilever. Mirai is the Business Transformation Programme that will deliver a simplified IT estate across both ERP and our core business critical applications. This is needed to fully deliver the ambition set out under the Productivity Programme. There are three key drivers behind the timing for Mirai: Separation of the Ice Cream Business Productivity Programme (savings of €800m over three years), including segmentation into Business Group led (BG-led) & One Unilever (1UL) Markets, & move to Hubs. All four Unilever ERP instances operate on SAP ECC, which is approaching End-Of-Life (EOL) in 2027/30. Mirai is a critical enabler for all of the changes being delivered by the new Operating Model. New and refreshed technology is required to maximise productivity savings from the redesigned organisation and enable the move to standardised processes. JOB PURPOSE As the Data Migration Lead for Mirai Programme, you will be accountable for the data migration strategy, shaping how our organisation transforms its data to drive efficiency, innovation, and growth. You will be establishing Data Migration Strategy which will ensure seamless transfer of data from legacy SAP ECC systems to the new ERP systems. This is a key role that requires deep understanding of SAP and data migration best practices, tools & methodologies, which will enable success of the next-generation ERP systems. This role will exist for the project implementation duration, expected to be 2 - 3 years. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead ERP Data Transformation Journey Develop a strategic vision for ERP data management which will enable Unilever to operate globally with harmonized master & transactional data. Establish robust data governance frameworks, ensuring integrity, security, and compliance at every stage of the project. Build capabilities which will provide seamless data integration during both legacy & new ERP systems are in use until Unilever moves to the new ERP system(s) fully & beyond. Champion Data Migration Excellence Spearhead the end-to-end data migration process, from extraction to validation, ensuring every piece of information is accurate, reliable, and ready to power the new ERP system. Ensure full audit trail to satisfy compliance needs. Lead data cleansing and enrichment efforts, setting the foundation for seamless operations and analytics. Design a Seamless Data Ecosystem Collaborate with technical teams to integrate the ERP with existing systems, creating a unified, connected enterprise environment. Enable the smooth flow of master, transactional, and analytical data between systems. Inspire Collaboration Across the Organization Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable strategies. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership. Deliver with Precision and Impact Oversee rigorous data testing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure project milestones are met with excellence. Prepare the organization for success by implementing data processes that scale with future needs. Location  In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025.
