Healthy outcomes start with positive patient experiences.As a Operational Manager - Logistics at Royal Stoke Hospital, Newcastle Road, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST4 6QG.You are responsible for the overall management and efficient operation of the scheduled service within the Portering Service including Waste, Distribution, Medical Gas, Post Room, Pharmacy and Specimens services across the full RSUH site. To be responsible for key strategic decisions that require scheduled Portering input and associated tasks within the prescribed services. Integration with all other Portering services, other support services departments and the Trust departments to ensure a professional and seamless service is delivered.What youll do:Monitor daily Portering KPIs and collaborate across services to address challenges.Ensure KPIs are reported as per agreed timescales in the Project Agreement.Drive continuous improvements in all aspects of service delivery.Maintain appropriate staffing levels, skill mix, and rota coverage, including for sickness and leave.Recruit, train, develop, and motivate staff to ensure high-quality service.Analyse and resolve staff performance issues.Identify service weaknesses and develop proposals for improvement strategies.Manage compliance, training documentation, HR matters, and staff communication effectively.What you bring:Proven track record of managing a team and delivering a Soft FM serviceAwareness of appropriate legislation including (but not limited to) employment, hygiene, health and safetyExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate at all levelsThe ability to implement and drive changes to working practices as requiredDesirableExperience in a hospital environmentHolder of IOSH Working Safely certificateHolder of a Management QualificationWhat we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; its a chance to be part of something greater.
