Key Responsibilities and What You'll Drive:

As the Pilot Plant Senior Associate, you will be the linchpin for daily operations, ensuring:

  • Strategic Campaign Execution: Oversee the timely and scientifically sound execution of all pilot plant campaigns, adhering strictly to Health & Safety, quality, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • Resource Optimization: Lead resource planning and allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of team capabilities to meet critical business priorities.
  • Operational Improvement: Continuously enhance pilot plant operations through a focus on productivity, efficiency, and long-term strategic alignment.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Maintain sustained regulatory and cGMP compliance, manage change controls, CAPAs, and deviations, and ensure audit readiness.
  • Team Development: Develop and implement training programs to mentor team members, fostering consistent knowledge and a high-performance, team-oriented environment.
  • Manufacturing Support: Provide strategic support for manufacturing activities, including equipment qualification, process optimization, and scale-up.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives that drive process optimization and operational excellence across the pilot plant.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, escalate, and manage operational risks, ensuring timely resolution and communication.

What We're Looking For in You:

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A relevant scientific degree (e.g., Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Engineering).
  • Extensive experience in pharmaceutical, OTC, or small molecule drug product manufacturing or R&D, with 3-5 years in a leadership position within a pilot plant or manufacturing setting.
  • A proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and resources to deliver complex technical projects on time and within cGMP frameworks.
  • A strong command of cGMP, pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, and quality systems, including experience with Change Controls, CAPAs, and Deviations.
  • Demonstrated experience in scale-up and equipment qualification.
  • Hands-on experience with continuous improvement methodologies and driving operational excellence initiatives.
  • Proficiency in technical training, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive, resilient, and self-motivated approach with strong strategic thinking capabilities.
