We’re looking for a motivated Placements and Internships Officer to join our dynamic Employability and Apprenticeships team at the University of Greenwich.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in connecting our students with meaningful placement, internship and insight opportunities. You’ll work closely with employers, academics and students to source and promote roles, support recruitment processes, and ensure every experience meets university and industry standards.
You’ll also contribute to employability events, insight visits and workshops, helping students gain confidence and develop skills that enhance their graduate outcomes.
This is a multi-campus role, and regular travel to our Medway campus will be an important part of the post. Flexibility and collaboration across sites are key to ensuring consistent student support and strong employer engagement across the university
Key responsibilities include:
Building and maintaining relationships with employers and alumni to create placement and internship opportunities.
Supporting students throughout the placement process – before, during and after their experience.
Ensuring all opportunities comply with employment, health & safety, and visa regulations.
Collaborating with academic and professional services colleagues to deliver a consistent, high-quality employability offer.
Using data and feedback to evaluate and improve services.
About you:You’ll bring strong organisational and communication skills, a proactive and solution-focused approach, and a genuine interest in supporting students’ professional growth. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively across teams and with external partners to achieve shared goals. Experience in employability, recruitment, higher education, or a similar environment would be an advantage.
