Your Impact & Responsibilities:

As a Planning & Portfolio Partner, you will be instrumental in translating strategic vision into actionable plans. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Strategic Portfolio Management: Overseeing and managing Primark's portfolio of investment and change initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and maximizing organizational value.
• Multi-Year Planning: Leading the development and execution of multi-year investment and change plans, from initial definition and prioritization to execution.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engaging with senior business stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and ensure quality outcomes.
• Performance Tracking: Developing and delivering periodic reports on portfolio performance, focusing on value realization, strategic alignment, and key business outcomes.
• Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively tracking dependencies, issues, and risks at the enterprise portfolio level.
• Planning Cycle Leadership: Facilitating and leading critical monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles in conjunction with Strategy, Technology, Finance, and Senior Leadership teams.
• Financial & Benefits Oversight: Maintaining a vigilant watch over portfolio finances and benefits, ensuring investments remain within planned timelines and budgets.
• Demand Management: Defining, capturing, and prioritizing investment and change initiative demands in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
• Governance and Reporting: Working closely with the Governance & Reporting lead to ensure a clear understanding of initiative status and overall portfolio health.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively contributing to the evolution and enhancement of Primark's EPMO processes and capabilities.

What You'll Bring to Primark:

To thrive in this role and contribute to Primark's continued success, you will need:

• Educational Foundation: A degree-level education.
• Extensive PMO Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience within a PMO environment.
• Formal Project Management Certification: A recognized qualification such as PMP, IPMA, or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
• Portfolio Management Expertise: Significant experience in Project Portfolio Management and/or business planning, ideally gained across diverse and complex organizational landscapes.
• Methodology Versatility: Proven experience working with teams employing a wide range of change frameworks and methodologies, including traditional waterfall, iterative/agile delivery, and process improvement approaches.
• PPM Tool Proficiency: Practical experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools, such as Planisware.
