RHACC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Programme Manager to lead its Digital and Creative Technology provision within the Richmond Business School. This role offers a significant opportunity for a motivated professional to shape the future of digital skills education for adult learners and contribute to the strategic direction of the department.

Key Advantages for Your Career Path:

  • Impactful Leadership: Take charge of a vital area of the curriculum, directly influencing the learning journeys of diverse adult learners. You will have the opportunity to shape and enhance digital and creative technology offerings, ensuring they are relevant and industry-aligned.
  • Professional Development: This role provides a platform for you to demonstrate and further hone your management and leadership skills. You'll gain experience in line management of tutors, curriculum design, quality assurance, and strategic planning within an educational setting.
  • Continuous Learning & Innovation: RHACC emphasizes current industry needs. This means you'll be at the forefront of evolving digital and creative technologies, constantly learning and adapting the curriculum to meet emerging demands. The opportunity to teach an agreed number of hours annually also allows you to remain hands-on and serve as a role model for teaching excellence.
  • Strategic Contribution: As part of the management team, you will play a crucial role in achieving high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Your input will be instrumental in driving the success of the Richmond Business School.
  • Diverse Learner Engagement: Work with a wide spectrum of adult learners, from those with low skills seeking foundational knowledge to employed individuals aiming for career advancement. This variety offers rich experience in tailoring educational approaches.

Key Considerations for Potential Candidates:

  • Leadership Scope: You will be responsible for the line management of both established and variable-hours tutors across two sites. This requires strong interpersonal skills, effective delegation, and the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
  • Curriculum Design & Delivery: The role involves designing, planning, and resourcing course delivery. This demands a strategic mindset, creativity in developing learning materials, and a commitment to ensuring the curriculum is both challenging and prepares learners for progression.
  • Quality Assurance & Efficiency: A core aspect of the role is ensuring quality targets are met and the curriculum is delivered efficiently. This requires a keen eye for detail, data-driven decision-making, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Essential Qualifications & Experience: Candidates must possess a Level 5 teaching qualification, substantial teaching experience, and proven management experience. A strong foundation in IT and at least an undergraduate degree are also mandatory.
  • Desirable Skills: While not essential, an Assessor and Verifier Qualification, or a willingness to work towards one, would be a significant asset. This demonstrates a commitment to quality assessment practices within vocational education.
  • Salary & Level: The advertised salary range is £35,846 to £44,068 per annum, corresponding to a Level 3 Academic position.

This Programme Manager role at RHACC presents a compelling opportunity for seasoned professionals in the digital and creative technology space who are passionate about adult education and eager to make a tangible impact. If you are a strategic thinker with a proven track record in leadership and a commitment to educational excellence, this could be your next significant career move.
