The Opportunity: Delivery Project Manager – Orkney 220kV Transmission Link

SSEN Transmission is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Delivery Project Manager to spearhead the Onshore Cables Package for the vital Orkney 220kV Transmission Link. Key Considerations for Candidates:

• Technical Proficiency: A strong background in onshore cable delivery, particularly within HVAC/HVDC systems, is essential. Familiarity with CDM regulations and NEC contract frameworks (NEC3/NEC4) is a must.
• Project Scale: You will be responsible for managing complex packages exceeding £10 million, demanding robust planning, cost control, and risk management skills.
• Leadership & Teamwork: The ability to build and lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams is paramount. Fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence will be a core responsibility.
• Onsite Presence: While flexible working is encouraged, onsite presence is expected during execution phases (3 days every 2nd week). A valid driving licence is therefore required.
