We are looking to appoint a Research Support Administrator within the School of Management’s busy Research Office. This is a varied role involving daily communication with academic staff, other School and University teams, and visiting academics.
The role involves managing the School’s Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee, with responsibilities including:monitoring and supporting the activities of our eight Research Centresmanaging applications from visiting researcherstaking minutes and preparing paperwork for meetingsYou will also assist in organising research seminars and events, updating webpages, and liaising with stakeholders throughout the School and wider University.
The Research Office is run by the Head of Research Operations, who will provide line management of the role; you will also receive guidance from the School’s Associate Dean for Research.
You will:
provide high-quality administrative support within a busy Research Office, supporting research activity and committee processesbe highly organised, able to manage and prioritise a varied workload accurately and to tight deadlinescommunicate confidently and professionally, building effective working relationships with academic staff and colleaguesuse strong IT and information management skills to maintain records, databases, and webpageswork proactively and flexibly, learning new systems quickly and contributing positively to the wider teamThis is a full-time, fixed-term role (36.5 hours per week) for 12 months.
