The Residential Experience (ResX) team, within the Student Living team, are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Residential Experience Manager.
The successful candidate will be required lead on the delivery of the ResX Living and Learning programme as part of the wider ResX team. This is a wide-ranging role and the successful candidate will need to be flexible and confident to lead a team but also use their own initiative within the remit of the role to make positive change to the student experience.
You will have experience of using Office 365, Teams, hiring processes, and of using creative processes to organise and deliver your work and the work of your direct reports. You will have great leadership and communication skills both in person and in writing, and will work with internal and external stakeholders, providing support to your team running events and activities on site. Knowledge and experience of team management, event planning, learning environments, and student experience is desirable.
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can demonstrate your ability to help your team meet deadlines and provide an excellent service whilst enabling you to work directly with the residential community. You will be involved in a variety of tasks including event planning and delivery, supervision of a staff team, and will work collaboratively with the ResX management team. A high level of attention to detail is required for this role to ensure that events and activities are carried out in within Halls of Residence with a sense of professionalism and community connection. You will have experience in team development and have the ability to create a positive and engaging work environment. A high level of excellence in customer service delivery and the ability to enable your team to have the same high standards is essential. Due to the frequency that the role holder will be required to drive between University sites a full, current driving licence is required.
This role covers multiple campuses including our Sutton Bonington Campus and off campus Halls. It is a permanent position. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week) working 5 days out of 7 to be arranged. This role will be required to work weekends and evenings to support the team carrying out the programme activities.
