What You Will Be Doing: Key Responsibilities and Activities

As a Systems Engineer within this dynamic team, your role will be instrumental in shaping critical engineering solutions. You will:

• Apply Systems Thinking: Master the art of understanding complex systems by defining their context, hierarchy, and lifecycle. You'll see the big picture, defining the entire system, its purpose, and its functions.
• Drive Requirements Management: Lead the elicitation, analysis, and validation of stakeholder needs, translating them into clear, comprehensive, and commonly understood requirements. You'll structure and manage all system requirements, including intricate interface definitions, ensuring alignment across all system levels.
• Project Execution: Demonstrate a strong ability to manage your workload effectively, meeting stringent time, cost, and quality objectives. You will set key deliverables and develop robust programme plans.
• Foster Collaboration: Be a proactive contributor within multidisciplinary teams, understanding and integrating with related technical disciplines. You will provide expert advice and support to Business and Integrated Project Teams, championing a strong, collaborative approach across various departments.

Key Considerations for Candidates:

• Nationality Requirements: To work within the Rolls-Royce Submarines business, candidates must be UK nationals. In approved MoD cases, dual nationality may be considered.
• Location: This role is based in Cardiff and requires a full-time on-site presence (5 days per week).
