The role: 

Talent Development Advisor

Specific duties and responsibilities of the post:

Our workforce is diverse, and so are the skills they need. We're looking for a Talent Development Advisor to develop talent solutions for everything from accountants, to zoology lecturers! Working within our Organisational Development (OD) department, you'll plan and deliver bespoke talent solutions for departments across the university working alongside both internal and third-party OD specialists. In one area you might deliver a leadership programme aimed at developing new team leaders. In another, you might utilise apprenticeships to deliver specialist technical skills. You'll work with LinkedIn and develop development pathways that can be accessed online. Throughout, you'll be tasked with ensuring we have the best possible talent in the right places at the right times, and be a subject matter expert in learning, talent, and resourcing.

You will:

Project manage the activities and projects required to deliver the team's talent strategy.

Be a talent subject-matter-expert, able to provide the best practice and advice on range of talent initiatives.

Perform skills and performance diagnostics.

Collaborate with our faculties and departments.

Consult on organsational design needs.

Improve access to skills and jobs, and deliver ever increasing levels of equity and diversity.

Contract manage third party organisations such as independent training providers.

Lead and manage communication campaigns to spotlight talent.

Design, procure, and implement digital content.

Quality manage talent interventions, using metrics to measure impact.

Make innovative use of technologies to further the colleague experience when it comes to talent.
