Teaching Assistant- Casual
The Headteacher & Governing Body are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced teaching assistant with a minimum of a NVQ 2 Certificate in Teaching and Learning Support or equivalent.
The role is on a casual basis to cover staff absence and as such it could entail providing one to one support for pupils with high needs, general support within the classroom and will encompass learning and pastoral support. Having the confidence to manage and support children with Special Educational Needs and disabilities is essential, as is showing the initiative and commitment to adapting to the individual needs of children.
The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team to provide a stable, calm, caring and supportive learning environment in which pupils can achieve. We require an enthusiastic, resilient and motivated individual with a passion for supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will be flexible, available most days of the
week (Monday to Friday) and able to work at short notice if needed to cover staff absence (variable hours between 8.30am and 3.30pm).
You should have excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to young people, their welfare, education and personal development. You will act as a role model to our pupils.
