The company's core values of Caring, Dynamic, and Together foster a culture where individual contributions are valued and teamwork is paramount.

What This Opportunity Offers:

As a Lean Portfolio Partner, you will be instrumental in:

  • Enabling Informed Decision-Making: You'll provide the Tech leadership community with the transparency and insights needed to make strategic decisions, ensuring alignment between cost, capacity, and desired outcomes.
  • Driving Consistency and Efficiency: Your role will involve standardizing ways of working across teams, fostering a cohesive and efficient delivery process for the Technology portfolio.
  • Facilitating Resolution of Impediments: You will be key in identifying and facilitating the resolution of critical blockers, ensuring smooth progress for Technology initiatives.
  • Enhancing Governance and Compliance: You'll partner with the EPMO to drive robust portfolio, program, and project governance, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance.
  • Optimizing Resource Management: Contribute to strategic resource allocation and cost optimization through effective options analysis and capacity visibility.
  • Developing Insightful Reporting: Design, implement, and mature executive-level reporting, providing clear visibility into portfolio risks, constraints, opportunities, and key performance metrics.
  • Creating Portfolio Visibility: Ensure a single, unified view of the Technology portfolio, including roadmaps and inter-dependencies, through the effective use of tooling and systems.
  • Facilitating Key Forums: Lead and facilitate critical portfolio management forums, including annual planning and quarterly business reviews.
  • Championing Portfolio Management: Take accountability for portfolio management training and coaching, ensuring teams are equipped with the latest best practices.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

This role is ideal for candidates who:

  • Thrive in a Fast-Paced, Growing Environment: Primark's ambitious growth trajectory means you'll be working in a dynamic and evolving landscape.
  • Are Passionate About Continuous Improvement: The emphasis on "leaner WoWs" and driving delivery process improvements offers ample opportunities to implement and champion new ideas.
  • Enjoy Strategic Impact: You'll have the chance to directly influence the direction and success of Primark's Technology portfolio.
  • Value Collaboration and Teamwork: The "Together" value underscores the importance of working effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Are Eager to Learn and Grow: Primark encourages professional development, offering a platform to hone your skills and explore new avenues within the organization.

Qualifications You'll Bring:

  • Essential: A strong foundation of 5+ years in portfolio/enterprise-level PMO, coupled with a deep understanding of portfolio management frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and significant experience with PPM tools.
  • Desirable: Advanced data analysis and visualization skills, an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification/experience, and proven experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and coaching teams.

Lifestyle and Benefits:

Primark recognizes the importance of work-life balance and offers a compelling benefits package, including:

  • Generous Annual Leave: 27 days plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days.
  • Flexible Working: Opportunities for flexible arrangements, including an early Friday finish.
  • On-Site Amenities: Access to a subsidized cafeteria.
