To find out more about UPro, the link below on the Home care academy. https://unilever.sharepoint.com/sites/HomeCareAcademy/SitePages/UPro/UPro.aspx JOB PURPOSE The Unilever Professional (UPRO) & European Home Care Quality Specialist plays an important role embedding and influencing quality in both the UPRO and European Business Unit, working alongsideâ¯the UPRO & Europe BU cross-functionaL leadership teams as well as quality teams from other Business Units and Business Groups. The main responsibility is working with our sourcing units, collaborative manufacturers and suppliers to analyze the quality concerns, maintain high standards and drive improvement. Providing direction and leadership the UPRO & Home Care Quality Specialist shares knowledge and helps with the upskilling across the UPRO and BU teams. The UPRO & BU Home Care Quality Specialist co-creates processes and ways-of-working and takes the lead on initiatives to ensure quality in the both UPRO and the European Business Unit with SUs, collaborative manufacturers and suppliers. Additionally, he/she will support landing innovations within the quality expectations of our consumers or beyond. RESPONSIBILITIES Define and embed the BG Quality management process within the UPRO organisation where practical and applicable. Support integration of the UPRO Collaborative Manufacturer / supplier portfolio to Unilever WoW including segmentation, auditing and incident management Ensure UPRO collaborative manufacturers apply GMP requirements to their own sub-contractors. Drive collaborative manufacturing site compliance to GMP and Global quality standards, through routine audits and risk segmentation Positively support consumer centric quality culture and its deployment across and through other functions within the business. Partner with the Business Unit on initiatives to improve Product Superiority. Facilitate risk management for innovation to ensure all risks are captured and mitigated appropriately Drive Pre-emptive Risk Mitigation: proactive, structured engagement in management of change. Identification and action plan creation for preventing and/or mitigating potential threats. Quality lead on UPRO and some Business Unit change management projects Provide quality inputs and recommendations for UPRO / Business Unit decision making forums, following risk-based approach logic (with the possibility of joining some of these forums). Ensure compliance to the Unilever Quality Management System by UPRO and European Business Unit in his/her area of scope. Drive continuous continuous improvement and/or the co-creation of new quality frameworks, procedures, processes and tools in his/her area of scope. Ensure effective RCA / CAPA performed as required for non-conformances either internal/supplier/make/pack/ customer or consumer issues. Support UPRO and Business Unit/Business Group in managing consumer safety, legal or other quality-related incidents. Collaborate with all relevant functions on the identification and transfer of âBest Practicesâ and âLessons Learnedâ across the organization (within UPRO, BU, BG and region). Quality management of global sourcing / cross regional sourcing of products, including the creation & sign off of ICQAs (inter company quality agreements). Ensure that changes linked to product sourcing strategy are managed through Quality processes. Support changes to existing and new manufacturing sites (SU/CM/M&A) through activities that assure quality/hygienic control processes are in place and operating efficiently. Drive or support resolution of supplier-related quality issues and prevention of re-occurrence. Assess and develop supplier capabilities (incl. audits, trainings, performance and program reviews) Support quality and Business Unit digitalization strategy, including quality relevant digital tools. Translate business need to functional requirement for the tools, and coordinate roll-out & implementation. Collect, use and analyze quality data to drive insights and improvements. Provide overall quality coaching, upskilling and quality trainings in his/her areas of competence. Displays flexibility by supporting Country Quality and/or other Quality teams if required ALL ABOUT YOU Preferably, University degree in general sciences or technical discipline Relevant experience in FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) business experience in Quality, R&D or Manufacturing â¯Fluent in English Preferably packaging or chemical experience / Collaborative Manufacturing in previous roles Knowledge of GMP and Hygienic Design Experience of performing external or internal audits Competencies: Has a professional attitude and communication skills to work with suppliers Proactive and self-driven, managing own workload and project planning. Must be able to take leadership on certain activities.
