  • Stakeholder Communication: You'll act as a vital liaison, communicating effectively with aircraft operators, suppliers, and third-party entities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Technical Evaluation: A critical aspect of this role involves evaluating work scopes, meticulously assessing reported aircraft defects and discrepancies to ensure accurate planning and execution.
  • Documentation Management: You will prepare essential work documents for both Customer Service Representatives (CS) and mechanics, ensuring clarity and efficiency in the maintenance process.
  • Customer Reporting: Prepare clear and concise work reports for customers, maintaining transparency and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with CPM on project management for maintenance work orders (W/O), ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Safety Advocacy: A paramount contribution will be your commitment to promoting a culture of safety for yourself and all your colleagues.

Thriving in This Role: Key Considerations for Your Career Path

To excel in this position and propel your career forward, consider the following essential qualifications and attributes:

  • Regulatory Expertise: A strong foundation in applicable EASA and FAA regulations is a must. Having knowledge of additional regulations (e.g., Isle of Man, San Marino) will be a significant advantage. This signifies a commitment to compliance and operational integrity.
  • Regulatory Framework Understanding: Basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145, and other relevant aviation regulations is crucial for navigating the complexities of aircraft maintenance planning.
  • Technical Manual Proficiency: Familiarity with key aircraft maintenance manuals (e.g., MPD, AMM, IPC) and a solid understanding of aircraft systems are vital for accurate task planning.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) and CDCCL (Configurable Electrical Command and Control) demonstrates a specialized skill set valuable in modern aircraft maintenance.
  • Communication Prowess: Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for conveying individual task status and overall aircraft status clearly and concisely.
  • System Proficiency: Strong computer skills and system knowledge, including proficiency with SAP, are expected for efficient data management and workflow.
  • Experience Matters: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance planner is required. Previous experience with Bombardier aircraft is a strong asset, though experience with other business aircraft will also be considered.
