This is an opportunity to join the busy Eresources section within the Library Content and Discovery Systems team where you will contribute to the management and delivery of library online resources for staff and students of the University.
This role will assist with the E-resources and Subscriptions Librarian in managing the acquisition, organisation, maintenance and delivery of online resources to support the academic work and research of staff and students.
The key responsibilities of the role encompass a variety of tasks. These include setting up new online resources, monitoring and managing subscription renewals, movements, and cancellations, and troubleshooting access and linking problems.
Additionally, the role involves disseminating information on issues affecting library subscriptions, administering online supplier platforms and discovery systems, fostering good relationships with suppliers and intermediaries, and gathering and analysing usage statistics for online resources.
Management of library online resources is a busy and dynamic environment and to succeed you will:
Have a graduate professional qualification in library and information studies or a demonstrable level of practical prior experience gained in a similar role.Able to communicate complex information in a clear and understandable way.Competent in working with data.Be a proficient and confident user of Microsoft software, particularly Excel.Whilst this role is full-time (37 hours per week), we welcome applications from candidates seeking to job share, and the role is also eligible for agile working, meaning you could work from home for part of the week, to be arranged with your manager and after your initial training.
