Withernsea High School is located in the pleasant, rural seaside town of Withernsea and serves the population of the town and surrounding villages.
The successful candidate will work with families to improve student attendance by conducting home visits to absent students, engaging with families, identifying barriers to attendance, and supporting students in attending school.
The postholder must have use of their own vehicle to visit students in our community at their home addresses, along with a full, clean driving licence, and appropriate insurance for business use. Mileage will be paid. The role may also involve driving of the school minibus, and therefore a MiDAS license, or willingness to undertake training (which school will provide), is also required.
For the above post, you should be flexible, able to work independently, meet pre-determined deadlines and possess good verbal communication skills.
The successful applicants should be proficient in building positive relationships with students, together with a professional approach with their teachers and other members of the Inclusion Team. A friendly, outgoing but firm personality is essential.
