We have an exciting opportunity to join the Careers & Employability Team as a Careers & Employability Adviser (APP). This role is designed to strengthen our provision and empower all students to achieve their full potential. This position supports the University’s ambition to deliver an outstanding higher education experience and improve underrepresented student progression outcomes.
As a key member of the team, you will lead initiatives aligned with the University’s Access & Participation progression commitments, helping underrepresented students and graduates secure meaningful graduate-level employment. You will work with a defined cohort and develop targeted employability support for groups whose outcomes are nationally recognised as being impacted by specific characteristics, including but not limited to students from lower socio-economic backgrounds, care leavers, disabled students, ABMO, and mature students.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a specialist caseload and delivering tailored careers education and guidance/coaching through one-to-one support, group sessions, and impactful programmes.Providing an industry led initiatives and reporting on activities and outcomes to support Access & Participation plans.Working in partnership to track, evaluate, and improve success measures.Acting as a support to academic staff in embedding employability and creating opportunities for underrepresented students.This is a proactive and collaborative role requiring creativity, commitment, and a passion for supporting students to fulfil their ambitions.
