Key Responsibilities and What You'll Be Doing:

As a Smart Metering Campaign Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the campaign team, directly engaging with customers to facilitate the transition to a 4G smart metering network. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting smart meter upgrade conversations with customers.
  • Effectively booking smart metering appointments to a high standard.
  • Handling customer enquiries via phone and email, ensuring a superior customer experience.
  • Acting as an advocate for smart metering, educating customers on its numerous benefits.
  • Converting customer interest into confirmed appointment bookings.
  • Accurately recording all customer interactions according to standard operating procedures.
  • Working diligently within established policies and processes, and providing feedback on any impediments to team performance.

What You Bring to the Table:

SSE is looking for candidates who possess a blend of customer-centric skills and an aptitude for learning. The essential requirements for this role include:

  • Some knowledge of smart metering or the energy industry is beneficial, but a willingness to learn is paramount.
  • Basic IT proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Previous experience in a Customer Service environment, demonstrating your ability to handle customer interactions effectively.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to manage your individual workload efficiently.
