This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Student Services team as a DSA Advisor within the Regional Access East London (RACEL) team. Student Services plays a vital role in nurturing student wellness, providing crucial support for individual needs, assisting students in crisis, enhancing retention rates, and ensuring a positive overall student experience. Key Responsibilities and Opportunities

As a DSA Advisor, you will be instrumental in guiding students through the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) process. This is a student-focused role where your expertise will directly impact the accessibility and success of students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for students navigating the complex DSA application process, providing expert advice and personalized support.
  • Conducting thorough assessments, both remotely and in-person, to understand individual student needs and recommending appropriate support solutions.
  • Facilitating mediation and dispute resolution between students and DSA service providers, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes.
  • Providing essential support for students throughout their DSA applications and liaising effectively with external agencies to secure necessary funding.
  • Managing financial transactions related to DSA funding.
