This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8.00 – 17.00</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage the Front of House (FOH) team of staff to provide excellent levels of service and event management.</li> <li>Manage the workplace environment specifically including behaviours at work to accepted standards as set out within the G4S Values</li> <li>Liaise with the kitchen to ensure consistency in levels of service are maintained, and all relevant staff are up to date with event information.</li> <li>Identify, improve, and implement improvements required in FOH areas.</li> <li>Organise FOH cleaning schedules, audits, and their updates and/or remedial actions.</li> <li>Take an active role in communicating with users of the catering services, advising on menus, and event planning through emails, in person meetings and phone calls.</li> <li>Ensure the correct equipment and consumables required for Catering Outlets are available</li> <li>Supervise all aspects of the business making sure everything runs smoothly and looks up to the standards: service provided, client journey, catering orders, set ups, and cleanliness.</li> <li>Carry out tasks requested by the Catering Manager as and when required.</li> <li>Day to day input for operations ensuring continuous improvement and P&L targets are met.</li> <li>Ensure that all Supervisors, Head Chef, and their teams are constantly aware of the changing needs of their customers and adopt menus and style of service that meet those needs.</li> <li>Deal (in a timely manner) with any staffing and client issues</li> <li>Due to the nature of the establishment, Work within the Clients rules and regulations at all times.</li> <li>Deputising for the Catering manager in their absence</li> </ul><p><strong>Essential</strong></p> <ul> <li>NVQ Level 1,2, and 3 in Catering, C&G equivalent or a proven level of experience.</li> <li>Level 3 Food safety Certification</li> <li>Literate and Numerate</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel</li> <li>5 Years experience in a large commercial or Contract Catering Services</li> <li>Desire to lead and motivate a team</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>IOSH Certificate in H&S</li> <li>Supervisory Qualification</li> <li>Experience In a similar sized catering operation.</li> <li>HND, City and Guilds 706/1 and 2, NVQ level 2 and 3 or possess a level 2 food safety certificate</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <p>While working for G4S, you are entitled to a number of benefits and offers from G4S partners and other organisations, from employee assistance provided through WeCare, to RAC cover and so much more, including the below;</p> <ul> <li>2.5% Golden Hello payment.</li> <li>£2,000 annual retention bonus.</li> <li>Progression, training and development catered to you.</li> <li>Refer A Friend incentives.</li> <li>Company pension scheme with employer contributions.</li> <li>G4S Life Assurance Scheme.</li> <li>Subsidised healthcare plan.</li> <li>Charity work- Match-IT and Payroll Giving.</li> <li>Confidential Counselling Services.</li> <li>24/7 support specialising in health and medical.</li> <li>Discounts on high street shops and brands including several leading high street brands, retailers and travel suppliers.</li> </ul> <p>Please be aware that due to the nature of the business security clearance to a high government level will be required.</p> <p><br /> G4S is the International business of Allied Universal, the worlds leading security and facility services provider and trusted partner to more than 400 of the Fortune 500.
