Key Responsibilities and What You'll Be Doing:

  • Cost Base Optimization: Review, understand, and drive improvements across the entire Defence IT cost base, fostering cost transparency and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Performance Management: Consolidate, analyze, and report on the financial performance of Defence IT spend, providing actionable insights to management for both short-term execution and long-term (5-year) strategic planning.
  • Business Partnering: Provide robust performance management support to the Defence IT and Digital teams, covering operating costs, cost rate performance, and investment cases.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Develop and manage a comprehensive risk and opportunities process to navigate periods of change and challenging environments effectively.
  • Strategic Program Champion: Influence and champion the Defence business in the successful rollout of Rolls-Royce's multi-year Digital and IT strategy program.

What Makes You the Ideal Candidate:

  • Professional Financial Qualification: A professional financial qualification, preferably a qualified accountant (CPA, MBA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA), is essential.
  • Resilience and Influence: You'll be resilient, self-motivated, and adept at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • SAP Experience (Preferable): Knowledge and experience with SAP are advantageous and will be a strong asset in this role.
