Senior HR People Partner: A Strategic Opportunity for Impact

This Senior HR People Partner role offers a compelling opportunity for an experienced HR professional to make a significant impact within a global leader in reinsurance and risk transfer. Reporting to the Head of HR, this position is designed for a strategic thinker who can provide end-to-end HR generalist support to a substantial business portfolio of approximately 400 employees across the UK and Ireland.

A key advantage of this role is the opportunity to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, directly contributing to business performance, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. You will be instrumental in shaping and delivering high-impact HR solutions, demonstrating your strategic acumen and commercial awareness.

Furthermore, this position offers a unique chance to deputise for the Head of HR, providing valuable exposure to executive-level decision-making and representing the HR function in critical forums. The role also involves managing a vital interface with an HR administration team in Bratislava, fostering a seamless and efficient partnership, which is a crucial skill in today's globalized workforce.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

  • Strategic Partnership & Business Acumen: This role demands more than just operational HR. You'll be deeply involved in providing strategic and operational guidance on all people-related matters, directly influencing business outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to hone your business partnering skills and develop a deeper understanding of organizational strategy.
  • Expertise in Compensation & Analytics: Leading the annual year-end compensation review and managing statutory reporting like Gender Pay Gap reporting will significantly enhance your expertise in critical HR analytics and compensation strategies. This is highly valuable for career advancement.
  • Risk, Governance & Compliance Leadership: Overseeing HR risk, governance, and compliance frameworks, particularly within a regulated environment like financial services, will solidify your credentials in ensuring adherence to complex UK and Irish employment law and regulatory standards. This is a critical area of development for any senior HR professional.
  • Complex Employee Relations & Change Management: Leading intricate employee relations matters, including collective consultation and TUPE, positions you at the forefront of organizational change. This experience is invaluable for developing your capabilities in navigating complex and sensitive HR situations.
  • Policy Development & Talent Initiatives: Contributing to the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, alongside supporting key talent initiatives such as workforce planning and talent management, offers a broad spectrum of HR experience.
  • Inclusive Culture Champion: Actively championing a culture of inclusion and embedding these principles across HR processes is a significant responsibility. This aligns with modern HR best practices and demonstrates a commitment to ethical and progressive HR leadership.
  • Hybrid Working & Professional Growth: The offering of hybrid working (minimum three days per week in the London office) provides flexibility while maintaining essential face-to-face collaboration. Coupled with exposure to senior leadership and strategic HR initiatives, this role presents significant opportunities for professional growth and development within a high-performing HR team.
  • Competitive Remuneration: The salary range of £72,000 - £108,000 FTE, along with a comprehensive benefits package, reflects the seniority and scope of this critical role. The specific salary will be determined based on your qualifications, experience, and the inherent responsibilities of the position.

Candidates should possess significant progressive experience in a senior HR generalist or business partnering role, ideally within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services. A CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience is essential. Strong knowledge of UK and Irish employment law, HR risk management, and proven experience in complex employee relations are key requirements. Exceptional stakeholder management, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are also vital for success.

This role is an excellent step for seasoned HR professionals looking to deepen their strategic influence, expand their expertise in regulated environments, and contribute to a forward-thinking organization committed to making the world more resilient.
