Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Anatomy and Physiology

The Department of Sport and Sciences has an exciting portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and apprenticeship programmes across the disciplines of sport, biomedical and forensic sciences. The Department is situated within the School of Health, Education, Policing and Sciences at University of Staffordshire and received the ‘Best educational institution’ award at the 2024 inaugural International Biomedical Science awards. The Department holds aspirations of further strengthening our interdisciplinary teaching portfolio and research across healthcare, clinical and life sciences.

We have a vacancy for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Anatomy and Physiology and are seeking a candidate who has the pedagogical expertise and dexterity to deliver across several awards. The appointee will contribute to strengthening the interdisciplinary teaching portfolio across the following awards in particular: BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences, including our Level 6 Biomedical Science apprenticeship, BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science, BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation. These courses all have accreditation/endorsement with several professional statutory regulatory bodies. The successful candidate needs to be aware of compliance of these bodies so we can support our learners achieve their best.

The Department houses two research centres: The Centre of Health and Development (CHAD), and Centre of Crime Justice and Sustainability (CCJS).  Within this community you will have the opportunity to grow academically while working with a team of dedicated professionals.
