The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic Supply Chain team at our Glasgow site and play a pivotal role in maintaining critical traceability for both testing samples and purchased inventory. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the seamless flow of materials essential to our operations. This position offers the chance to work in controlled environments, engage in manual handling, and meticulously label and inspect materials, all while adhering to strict GxP regulations.

Key Responsibilities and Your Contribution:

This role is designed for someone who thrives on precision and organization. As a Material Handler 1, your contributions will directly impact our operational efficiency and compliance:

  • Efficient Material Management: You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of test materials and raw inventory, from receipt to storage and issuance. This ensures our operational departments have the resources they need, all in line with GLP/GMP standards.
  • Upholding Safety Standards: A commitment to safety is paramount. You will handle inventory with the utmost care and responsibility, ensuring a secure environment for all valuable materials.
  • Maintaining Data Integrity: Accuracy is key. You will maintain precise system records within Oracle/ERP/LIMS for all inventory transactions, ensuring robust accountability and a reliable audit trail.
  • Proactive Operational Support: Your ability to plan and prioritize tasks will be crucial in meeting procedural requirements, contributing to overall operational efficiency, and ensuring your own effectiveness on a daily basis.

Who You Are: What Makes You a Great Fit

We are looking for individuals who possess a strong foundation in warehouse or laboratory environments and a keen eye for detail. Key attributes and experience that will set you up for success include:

  • Experience in Warehousing or Stock Control: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or stock control environment is expected.
  • Laboratory Experience (Beneficial): Alternatively, 1+ year of experience in a sample testing laboratory would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Record Keeping: Demonstrated experience using electronic systems for record keeping and data entry is a requirement.
  • Familiarity with Regulated Environments: Previous experience working within a regulated environment (e.g., GLP/GMP) is highly beneficial and will allow you to hit the ground running.
  • Documentation Excellence: The ability to complete both handwritten and electronic documentation neatly and accurately is essential.
  • Database Knowledge (Beneficial): Working knowledge of electronic databases such as LIMS, SAP, or equivalent systems would be a significant asset.
