The Board of Governors plays a focal role in the strategic development and overall performance of the University of Lincoln, and membership of the Board offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals to play a key part in enhancing the University’s success and reputation regionally, nationally and internationally, as well as personal development and networking opportunities that this brings.
We are recruiting to a small number of vacant independent governor roles and a specific co-opted member vacancy, and would particularly like to hear from candidates who possess one or more of the below skillsets/expertise, although we welcome interest from all backgrounds:
• Accountancy, Financial Management;
• Cyber, Cyber Security;
• Education (as a co-opted member).
The Board meets six times a year, with a strategic away day combined with a formal meeting. Members are expected to prioritise attendance, as well as training and development days. There are opportunities for members of the Board to join one or more of the Board’s sub-committees, with the intention that the preferred candidate with accountancy and/or financial management expertise will join our Audit and Risk Committee.
Governors are not paid, but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
