Unlocking the Future of Aerospace: A Product Service Officer Opportunity with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB

Are you an ambitious professional looking to make a significant impact in the dynamic world of aerospace? Rolls-Royce is offering an exciting opportunity for a Product Service Officer to join their prestigious Trent XWB Value Stream Team. This role places you at the heart of the Trent XWB engine program, a powerhouse that fuels the Airbus A350 family and is poised for substantial growth.

With over 700 aircraft currently powered by the Trent XWB and a compelling business case for the A350 Freighter, this is a chance to be part of a segment of the business that is set for unparalleled expansion. The Trent XWB is on track to become the largest fleet in civil aerospace, both in terms of aircraft numbers and financial value for Rolls-Royce. This presents a unique career-defining opportunity for those who thrive in challenging and evolving environments.

Key Responsibilities and Career Advantages:

  • Strategic Fleet Integration: Play a crucial role in integrating the overall performance of the Trent XWB fleet, working collaboratively with the Value Stream Team, Aftermarket Operations, and Supply Chain. This broad exposure will enhance your understanding of the end-to-end product lifecycle.
  • Policy Development & Ownership: Directly contribute to the creation of vital fleet policies, including technical removal drivers such as Time on Wing cycle limits for High Pressure Turbine Blades (HPTBs) and Life Limited Parts. This hands-on involvement in shaping operational standards offers significant professional development.
  • Campaign Management: Lead fleet-wide campaigns focused on delivering safety, reliability, and performance modifications to customers. This leadership opportunity will hone your project management and execution skills, demonstrating your ability to drive tangible improvements.
  • Maintenance Planning & Optimization: Support the Engine Service Team's demand signal for maintenance event planning within the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. This includes managing Overhaul Base and In-Field events, providing invaluable experience in operational logistics and resource allocation.
  • Risk & Opportunity Identification: Collaborate closely with Aftermarket Operations and supply chain vendors to identify and mitigate risks, while capitalizing on opportunities to achieve network-expected Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) rates. This commercial acumen development is a key advantage of the role.
  • New Product Integration: Lead the Value Stream integration of New Material & Service Bulletin (NMSB) development, ensuring that new policies are thoroughly understood and effectively supported by both the supply chain and customers. This forward-thinking aspect of the role keeps you at the forefront of innovation.

Why Consider This Role at Rolls-Royce?

They prioritize listening, embracing feedback, and acting with integrity. Furthermore, the company invests significantly in your continuous learning and development, providing access to a wide array of opportunities for career growth and personal advancement. This role is supported by a competitive salary and exceptional benefits, including bonus schemes, employee assistance programs, and exclusive discounts.

  • A strong desire to make a difference in a challenging operational environment, demonstrated through excellent collaboration, teamwork, and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience or knowledge in Services, MRO, or Operations, particularly within the aerospace sector or a similar complex industry.
  • An understanding of Product Time on Wing drivers and fleet health.
  • Familiarity with MRO networks and practices, ideally within the Rolls-Royce ecosystem.
  • An understanding of the customer network and regional teams.

This is more than just a job; it's an invitation to contribute to a high-performing, competitive, and resilient business that pioneers cutting-edge technologies.
