The University of Worcester has recently created a new Digital Services team and is seeking an experienced Project Manager drive a series of ambitious new transformation initiatives.
As a key member of the Project Management Office (PMO) this is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver a wide-ranging portfolio of digital projects that improve the experience of our students and staff and support the University’s strategic ambitions.
Working as part of a supportive team delivering Project Management, Business Analysis and Portfolio Planning you will be responsible for the full delivery lifecycle, from initiation and business case through delivery, go-live and benefits realisation.
Your work will span digital transformation, the introduction of new digital platforms, service improvement, and projects that change how we work.
What you’ll do
Lead end-to-end delivery of digital projects, ensuring scope, time, cost, quality, benefits and risks are managed effectively.Build strong relationships with stakeholders across academic and professional services, translating needs into clear plans and deliverables.Create and maintain project documentation including plans, RAID logs, status reports, governance papers and lessons learned.Manage suppliers and partners where required, including procurement support, mobilisation, delivery oversight and performance management.Support appropriate governance and decision-making, escalating issues and risks in a timely and constructive way.Embed good practice across department, contributing to consistent standards, templates and ways of working.What we’re looking for
You’ll be an organised, proactive Project Manager with a track record of delivering complex change in a digital/technology environment. You’ll be confident operating in a busy stakeholder landscape and comfortable balancing delivery with good governance.
