We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced colleague to undertake the role of Chief Student Experience Officer. As a member of SLT you will take ownership of the end-to-end student experience outside the classroom and reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Operations).
In this crucial role, you’ll be accountable for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of student-facing services, environments, and journeys, ensuring students experience a coherent, supportive, inclusive, and high-quality institution throughout their lifecycle.
You’ll be required to develop strong relationships with many stakeholders across the university, working particularly closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching Innovation) to ensure our students get the best experience both inside and outside the classroom.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Acting as the single accountable owner for the end-to-end student experience outside the classroom.Leading institutional delivery of student wellbeing, belonging, and inclusion, ensuring students are supported to thrive academically and personally.Leading Careers & Employability services, employer engagement, placements (excluding professionally regulated provision where appropriate), and destination support.Leading Library Services as well as Student Wellbeing & SupportProviding strategic and operational leadership to student-facing professional services within the portfolio.Working in partnership with the Chief Digital Officer to define requirements for student-facing digital and AI-enabled services.Working in close partnership with the PVC LTI to ensure a coherent end-to-end student journey.Application Process
