Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching Innovation) (INTERNAL ONLY)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior academic colleague, as the university is seeking to appoint an Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching Innovation) to lead the University’s teaching excellence, curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and student academic outcomes.

As Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor (LTI) you will hold academic responsibility for Graduate Outcomes strategy and reporting, Access & Participation (OfS), and the academic governance of student success.

Working closely with the Chief Student Experience Officer (CSEO), you will be at the heart of our delivery of exceptional student experience, both inside and outside of the classroom.

Key responsibilities of post include:

Providing institutional leadership for teaching, learning, and curriculum strategy, aligned with the University’s strategic plan and regulatory expectations.Leading and championing curriculum innovation to ensure programmes are inclusive, academically rigorous, and aligned with employer and societal needs.Exercising institutional accountability for Graduate Outcomes strategy, performance, and external reporting.Providing strategic leadership for the strategic development of academic staff capability in teaching and assessment.Shaping and delivering the academic strategy for global learning, internationalised curricula, student mobility, and transnational education (TNE).Serving as the senior academic liaison with the Students’ Union, with responsibility for academic governance, education policy, quality, and student representation.
