Your Role and Impact: Leading Network Operations and Growth
As the Network Manager, you will be instrumental in the daily operations and strategic development of NUCNet. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborative Leadership: Working closely with the Network leadership team, including partners at esteemed institutions like the Universities of Reading, the James Hutton Institute, and NIAB, as well as internal University of Southampton departments (Communications, Public Policy, IT, Finance).
- Event Management: Organising and managing impactful national events to foster networking, knowledge exchange, and professional development for the research community.
- Funding and Dissemination: Leading the organisation and dissemination of funding calls, and managing the review processes, thereby stimulating new research and capacity building.
- Project Oversight: Monitoring and reporting on the progress of research projects, fellowships, and training placements supported by the Network, ensuring the effective utilisation of BBSRC investment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building and nurturing relationships with diverse stakeholders, from academia and industry to community groups, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and influencing policy.
