In our continuous journey of growth and innovation at Carnival UK, we are seeking a Senior Buyer to bring fresh insights and expertise to our Procurement team. 

Role Overview

To be the number one holiday choice requires us to be flexible, innovative, and focused on sustainability, thinking about the future. This exciting opportunity is primarily working with our world class Cunard and P&O Cruises brands but also the wider Global brands under Carnival.

Our Procurement team have never been a more important part of our business, keeping our fleet fully supported from engine spares to champagne, Celebrity performers, Food Heroes, amazing Shore excursions, we source it all.

Its time to expand our team, so we are recruiting for Senior Buyers who will lead the end to end procurement process activity for a defined category (our categories include Ports, HR, Onboard Revenue, Food and Technical). This 12months fixed-term contract is supporting our Food Category

This pivotal role will involve:

Manage the end-to procurement activity within a defined category  Lead all elements of the sourcing process on behalf of the business Ownership of client relationships with the operations managers, Finance, Legal and project stakeholders Responsible for developing, implementing, and leading sub-category sourcing strategy To lead and execute the tendering, negotiating, and contract management activities within their category. Managing the ongoing commercial, operational, quality and risk management requirements Supplier relationship management is key to our success, you will have ownership in conducting regular analysis of our suppliers and developing our supply chain

This role is positioned at CUK08 level within our organization and is available on a 12months Fixed term contract basis.  

We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

 

What You'll Bring:

Your unique background and skills are what will make you stand out. We're looking for:

Experience of buying products/goods including a high level of best practice procurement, category management and development of sourcing strategies. Experience in Food advantageous but not essential. Previous exposure to many projects across multiple business areas and stakeholders Purchasing or Supply Professional Qualification (CIPs) advantageous but not essential.
